چکیده

In this study, a low-cost, wireless, and smartphone-controlled surface electromyography (EMG) system was designed developed for consumers, the recorded EMG signals were evaluated against reference laboratory during fatiguing contraction. Using commercially available inexpensive components, components of signal-acquisition circuit optimized, microcontroller combined with Bluetooth module. The then converted from analog to digital transmitted smartphone via serial communication. biceps brachii six healthy subjects separately using two systems sustained submaximal isometric contraction until endurance limit reached. root mean square (RMS) power frequency (MPF) calculated. results indicated that both exhibited characteristic progressive increase in EMGRMS decrease EMGMPF relative agreement between systems, assessed by intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), excellent (ICC 0.933, P < 0.001) moderate 0.662, =0.049). cost sensor hardware ¥ 8,486 per unit. proposed consumer-friendly system, which is highly versatile terms wireless accessibility, can detect phenomenon associated increased amplitude low-frequency muscle fatigue magnitude similar systems.

Estimation of muscle fatigue using surface electromyography and near-infrared spectroscopy.

This study looks at various parameters, derived from surface electromyography (sEMG) and Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and their relationship in muscle fatigue during a static elbow flexion until exhaustion as well as during a semidynamic exercise. We found a linear increasing trend for a corrected amplitude parameter and a linear decreasing slope for the frequency content of the sEMG signal...

Normalised Mutual Information of High-Density Surface Electromyography during Muscle Fatigue

This study has developed a technique for identifying the presence of muscle fatigue based on the spatial changes of the normalised mutual information (NMI) between multiple high density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) channels. Muscle fatigue in the tibialis anterior (TA) during isometric contractions at 40% and 80% maximum voluntary contraction levels was investigated in ten healthy partici...

The Effect of Lower Extremity Muscle Fatigue on Dynamic Postural Control Analyzed by Electromyography

Purpose: Postural control preserves organs and body parts in a proper biomechanical stance which exists in two forms: static and dynamic. Fatigue is one of the factors that affects postural control. This study aimed to compare the electromyography (EMG) activity of the lower extremity muscles before and after fatigue. Methods: This study was descriptive correlational and based on the research ...

Muscle conduction velocity, surface electromyography variables, and echo intensity during concentric and eccentric fatigue.

INTRODUCTION Concentric (CON) and eccentric (ECC) contractions may involve different mechanisms related to changes in sarcolemma status and the consequent alteration of action potential transmission along muscle fibers. METHODS Muscle conduction velocity (CV), surface electromyography signal (sEMG), muscle quality, and blood lactate concentrations were analyzed during CON and ECC actions. R...
